this honestly makes me really sad...that people have actually given up on their country as much as the people in the video below have. i don't quite blames them, as I have pretty much given up on America myself...but I understand that by admitting your defeat only gives those who haven't given up the upper hand. The only thing your doing by NOT voting is giving up your voice and, quite frankly, your right to say anything about politics at all. Don't bitch about a government you don't like and then not even try to do something about it.

Sure, I'm not a HUGE fan of either presidential candidate this year, but there is one I would much rather see in office over the other. And I am voting. Maybe my vote won't mean a whole lot, but it will count for something.

Take proposition 8 for example...a ban on gay marriage. I could never support something that eliminates the rights of people based on their sexual orientation, so obvs I will vote against the ban. Now imagine if I, along with every single person who did not support this ban (or at least a handful of them) decided we weren't going to vote...well then gay marriage wouldn't stand a chance.

Now I understand that not everyone has an opinion on everything they are given to vote on, and quite frankly there are a couple things on the ballot I might not vote on just cause I'm not totally sure where I stand on them. But obvs most of the people in this video DO have an opinion.
